Desert Dusk - Archival Print

Print Details

Based on the La Sal Mountain Range in Utah.

This is the view from the BLM dirt roads outside of Moab, Utah that overlooks the La Sal Mountain Range. At dusk, the desert colors reflect a purple tint on the distant mountain range, which in contrast to the desert shrubs creates this beautiful landscape that can't be missed! This past year, I captured it on my camera and felt the strongest call to paint this scene as soon as I returned to my studio.

I go camping in Moab at least once a year and this campsite is my favorite place to call home for a few nights. The evening temps cool down after a day of hot desert play, cooking dinner and relaxing while the desert dusk glows all around is truly unbeatable.

Original is 24x30 acrylic on wood panel *sold*

Size: There is a 1.5" inch white border around the image with a deckled edge.

The image itself has been shrunk down from the standard size for ease of framing. Considering that standard matting will cut in about 1/4" inch on all sides, the final print with a frame will have a nice 1/4" white border around three sides and 1/2" border at the bottom to show the title and signature.

Paper: Archival fine art printing on archival textured Somerset Velvet paper.

Signed and titled on the front by the artist!
